to manage food stamps like WIC is managed. You don't get a card with $x on it that you can spend on any grocery items. Perhaps they could keep the card system, but instead of applying towards all grocery items on your checkout, it will only apply to certain items (if you go to to the grocery store, usually next to the price labels they have a 'WIC Approved' sticker).

(If anyone doesn't know how WIC works, basically they give you vouchers/checks in the mail that cover stuff like milk, eggs, cereal, fruit juice, cheese, infant formula, carrots, peanut butter, dried beans/peas, tuna, etc.)

Another thing I'd like to see eliminated is people using their EBT cards at gas stations. It's pretty annoying to see someone buy a $1.50 soda and/or a bag of chips at the gas station, where everything is way overpriced, and pay using food stamps.
