The question is, is it reasonable for the government to deploy its welfare in a way which requires (or strongly incentivises) individuals to act in ways which are for the social good.
Being of a more socialist than libertarian bent on this kind of issue â the 'it's for your own good' type of thing â I'd say this is fine.
