This was one case that nobody could predict. Opinions seemed split 50/50 on what the Court would do. And the outcome is now known: "Obamacare", including the mandate, is declared constitutional. Somewhat surpisingly, Chief Justice Roberts was the deciding factor.
Unsurprisingly, I am quite happy with this decision. =)
Republicans will make noise about repealing the reforms, but I suspect they won't be able to. A lot of uncertainty has now gone away, and it looks quite likely we'll see the exchanges, the Medicare changes, the tax rebates and all the rest within the next few years. Politically, Obama has been spared a major embarrassment. This is quite a victory and vindication for Democrats.
