The American left really needs to stand up and make some credible politics. Although I don't agree with almost any of their positions, at least the far right (libertarians) are doing that and making a pretty good fist of it too. If ever there was a time where the stage is open for some quality new political parties, this must be it. The mainstream right (Republicans) are offering 0/10 candidates and the sitting centre-right (Democrat) president is offering a 1/10 re-election campaign.
