Even though we have gas for the furnace, water heater, fire place and barbecue. Now that we have so much baby laundry, the electric dryer is killing our power bill. Maybe we should look into replacing it with gas - the washer and dryer are in the furnace room so it should be doable. The stove I'm less worried about.
When we were doing energy-efficiency upgrades on our home, the salesperson said replacing our hot water heater with a tankless one wouldn't be worth it, because they are expensive to buy and install and don't save enough money to be worth it. But that was 3 years ago, they may have come down in price.
We upgraded our attic insulation, which is supposed to be a good way to save on heating costs (we had it done before we moved in, so I couldn't actually say how much it saved).
Do you know
