In no particular order:
Shoes. I've been wearing a pair of Shape-Ups XW ("eXtended Wear", supposed to be least strenuous than the regular variety). I suspect they are the cause of my lower back pain from walking (very minor, sore-muscle kind of a pain, not something I feel I should be worried about). I should wear shoes with a more "traditional" sole. For now, at least. Ankle support would probably be good, too. I should find my hiking boots -- they're a bit heavy, but damned comfortable and fit the above criteria.
Water. Need to find a way to carry this that doesn't involve looping a finger through the plastic loop on the lid, which results in a slight swaying action that is leading dangerously close to causing blisters on my fingers.
Pants. I need to trade them in for shorts.
Drivers. Overall they tend to be very courteous around here. Not that I was expecting the obvious, but multiple times I've seen drivers hang out and wait for me to cross even if there was ample room for them to go ahead and go without endangering me, them, or even causing me to slow my pace at all.
Pedestrians. Less courteous. Will get the occasional friendly nod, but they tend to ignore me and expect me to yield the sidewalk to them rather than sharing it with me. Very rarely will I get a friendly smile as I pass one, whereas almost every single driver will smile my way as they wave me across.
Cyclists. At least as courteous as drivers; if anything more so. Most who aren't already on the road to begin with will yield the entire sidewalk to me as they take to pedaling down the street itself for a span.
