1) It looks like a chicken's foot in a circle.
2) It looks like an upside down cross with the arms broken, resembling how St. Peter was crucified.
3) It resembles a medieval symbol known as Nero's Cross, which did in fact represent satanism.
4) It is an inverted Elhaz symbol, which reverses the rune's meaning from "life" to "death".
Of course, all these people completely ignore the true origins of the symbol. Depending on who you believe, there are two stories of its origin, although they are not mutually exclusive (i.e. both could be correct). 1) The symbol is a combination of the semaphore representations of the letters 'N' (a person holding two flags in an inverted 'V' position) and 'D' (one flag straight up, the other straight down) standing for "Nuclear Disarmament".
2) Holtom himself says that it is a representation of himself in despair, holding his arms downward with palms out.
Don't you just love it when people read into things what they want to see instead of what's actually there? Don't forget, Harry Potter is satanic, too! Oh, and when you play Dungeons & Dragons, each time you ask a character in the game to help your character you are inviting another demon to inhabit your body - satanic!!
