Someone walks into a school (or maybe daycare? It was some time ago) playground and mows down some kids with a full auto AK-47. So obviously we need a law preventing one from bringing a firearm into a school. I'm not saying we didn't need that law; bringing guns into a school can be damaging even without killing anyone. But this case violated so many other laws, it's just retarded to think making one more rule is going to prevent a repeat occurance.
There's a slew of drug laws along a similar vein, though I'm not so familiar with them. How about instead of making new (and very poorly worded) laws, we look at the tons of laws we already have and maybe enforce a couple of them?
