I haven't rooted it yet. So far sideloading apk's and using alternative app stores has been enough to make me glad I didn't buy an iPad mini. Oh, not to mention the kickass speakers and screen.
Right now I'm downloading a torrented file of an hd blu-ray rip of gattaca, and I know that MX Player Pro is going to play it perfectly, just like the MKV rips I downloaded and played earlier.
I'm resisting the urge to root...
