and yeah - if your upstream speed sucks like mine and you select 200gb of data, it'll be a few months of uploading before your entire collection is in sync with their server.
Yeah, mozy, carbonite, etc... all had pretty low limits but crashplan just doesn't seem to care. I use to be a mozy user before they lowered their limits.
You download an ap, you tell it what directories to back-up (or it'll suggest some), you configure throttling if you want (highly suggested) and then you set it and forget it. It'll email you reports on how it's progressing and if it stalls for some reason. Leave your computer on and connected!
What's the guarantee? It's a server somewhere other than your's. That's about as good as a DVD.
