And the competition isn't much better.
There are currently 3 infrastructure providers in Australia with a couple dozen smaller guys that resell.
I'm with Vodafone, they are one of the three. They've been having massive issues out here where they increased their customer base by merging with another provider without increasing their physical infrastructure. Massive issues with signal strength and reception. Plus I've been with them for 10 years and that long customer history has gotten me almost no benefits.
There is one provider here, Amasyim, they are a reseller of the Optus network but the plans they have are exactly what I'm looking for. $39.90 a month gets me unlimited talk and sms and 4 gig of data. Its the 4 gig of data that I want.
Currently I'm limited to 300 meg. If I go over it is really expensive.
With Vodafone my options are to continue on the new version of my current plan which ups the data quota to 1.5 gig but with $330 credit towards talk and SMS or I could go the Infinite plan which is $50 a month, unlimited talk and SMS but only 500 meg of data.
I wish we didn't have caps on data out here, I only use SMS and data, hardly make any phone calls.
