... but sodium is fairly widely used as a cooling fluid in reactors. Or at least it was; I think they maybe stopped doing that after Chernobyl (though the sodium coolant was a pretty minor factor there).
Having a coolant at 400C seems quite weird but I guess it makes some kind of sense when you think about what you're trying to protect again.
