And a few other things:
USB Thumbsticks- Do not require an internet connection. Maybe it's just me, but for various reasons my connection to the internet is often temporarily disrupted. Not having access to my files during these times would be highly annoying.
Alarm Clock- Plugs into the wall for nearly uninterrupted power (completely uninterrupted with battery backup). Cellphones in general and smartphones in particular are subject to dying batteries. I'm not going to oversleep just because playing Angry Birds killed my battery.
Books- One can loan one's favorite books to friends as many times as one wants, and to whomever one wants (unless they're blind). Electronic data is subject to obnoxious bullshit that prevents one from sharing it freely, as well as simple format issues that generally require everyone to use the same devices.
