I'm unsure what to make of the fact that the same people who think Medicare is, at best, a giant misguided money sink run by an inept government, or at worst, a socialist redistribution scheme, but who then turn around and raise hell over the faintest, mildest suggestions to reign in the cost of the program. How can it be that the government has no right at all to take other people's money to use for another person's healthcare, but simultaneously the obligation to provide unlimited funds for another person's healthcare ("no bureaucrats putting limits on grandma's coverage!"). How are these two notions held simultaneously in the same mind?
