Anastasia means "resurrection"; its diminutive forms include Anna, Sasha, and Stacy, so my MC could go by one of those, perhaps because she hates the name Anastasia as much as I do!
Stacy (also Stacie) on its own is a short form of Anastasia and also means "resurrection"; compare this to Sasha and Anna, both of which on their own have different derivations and therefore different meanings (diminutive of Alexander and "merciful", respectively).
Nova means "new", and potentially could be combined with another short name (e.g. Novalee combines Nova ("new") and Lee ("field")). Not sure what it would combine well with...
Aviva is a Hebrew name meaning "renewal". Not a fan though...
So far I think I'm leaning toward Stacy (or Stacie) or Renee.
