So, I'm addressing this to [private] because he demanded that I finish up the Amber Chronicles so that we could talk about it. However, anyone who's read it is certainly welcome to join in...
I'm thinking that the Patterns are modeled after an Aristotelian syllogism. Each Pattern consists of First Veil, Second Veil, Grand Curve, Final Veil. First Veil = Premise 1, Second Veil = Premise 2, Grand Curve = Therefore..., Final Veil = Conclusion. What do you think? Plausible? Philosopher's bias gone amok? Why else would Corwin's Pattern and the Amber Pattern have the same basic structure? Why not something radically different?
There's a lot about the Amber universe that remains in [private] (lulz), but I don't want to dump 1000 questions and ideas onto the thread and paralyze discussion.
