Because I do. Even with progressive women empowerment and equal rights and etc., women sell. Men do not. Well maybe Abercrombie clothes and Klein underwear. But for the major portion of products, women will always be used. With the less clothes, the better, right? Women are the product.
Stippers, prostitutes, pornography stars, ass- wiggling-breast-jiggling music video dancers....what do they all have in common? Nudity and the majority being women who star in those roles. I'm not saying that nudity=degradation but in most forms it's considered dirty and debasing by soceity as a whole. The kind of girl to take to bed but not home to meet the folks.
Why isn't there a higher demand for male strippers, prostitutes....etc.? Why hasn't there ever been? Why can't you get a hot, barely clothed guy to sell a beer? Instead of a nerdy guy hooking up with hot, barely clothed woman? It's easy to say supply and demand but that's not the answer. The answer is 'women's bodies'.
Women's bodies have been deemed more sexy and beautiful, yet when unclothed, are put in degrading categories. Never so for men.
