Right on the heels of his utter failure to defend free speech, Obama's come out and said that an Obama-appointed federal judge's ruling striking down indefinite detention is unconstitutional! And in pursuit of that, he's won a stay of the injunction against indefinite detention.
That's right, folks -- all of you Obama defenders who pretended he didn't want this new power, that it was Republicans foisting it upon him, well, Obama's proven you wrong in his staunch pursuit of keeping it.
It's plain to see by now that (unless you're gay) Obama is no friend of your civil liberties -- in fact, his record is at least as disgusting as Bush's, especially when you also consider his illegal (and hypocritical) war in Libya, his staunch defense of warrant-less wiretapping, his unequivocal support for the Patriot Act...
My other threads on the NDAA's indefinite detention (more background, plus dispelling of most of the myths spouted by Obama's apologists):
Preliminary injunction issued against NDAA
New ruling against indefinite detention
