hell, my grandfather's girlfriend still talks about "the mexicans coming in and screwing up the place" and all of that. and she's talking about Aspen, CO.
i know there are conflicting ideas about immigration, legal and illegal, on this site. we've talked about it before. i was wondering, basically.....
if you're xenophobic, what would you say to the girl in the article? to get the hell out of the country because her parents were illegal immigrants? to cut off all benifits? to try harder?
or would you want to give her the opportunities that this country used to stand for?
obviously by my phrasing, my own answer is clear. if you disagree, i'd like you to explain how you can feel that way and still sleep at night.
