Other possibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Motherboard (if it's fried, no telling what would and would not light up/spin up/beep up when booting)
* CPU (if it's fried... see above)
* Random power wire(s) (if it's the right one(s), your green LED could still light up yet nothing else work)
* Random data cables/lines (same as previous)
* Hard drive (seen it before, that was teh suck, but most likely you'd still hear beeps when booting, so probably not your victim)
* [insert any component where power could go] ([insert any number of possible resulting symptoms])
Most likely, your PSU just fried itself. Possible from a power spike - if this has happened before, I'd suggest getting a line conditioner or a battery back-up unit - a surge protector typically only protects against the first surge, then it's just an expensive power strip, and on most you have no way of knowing! Also, surge protectors don't protect you against brown outs or the power cutting in and out rapidly (in the case of the latter, the line conditioner isn't going to do quite so much for you).
