i've gotta say, the surprise hit (for me) has been pikmin. i never really got into the game cube version, and never played the wii version. but it was one of the free choices when i got mario kart, and i figured i'd give it a shot.
man, it's awesome. i beat it and restarted it the next day.
the one thing that annoys me about MK8 is that they don't show where the other drivers are on the course on the tv screen - you have to look down at the controller. either i'm missing some basic option, or it's a seriously lacking feature. otherwise, it's pretty sweet.
also, i'm one of those salivating over SSB.
any recommendations for the ones you've got?
