It really stuns me that people still listen when the gun control lobby repeats their always-false fear-mongering "predictions" that loosening gun control, or failing to pass new gun control measures, will lead to blood in the streets, rising crime, more violence, etc. etc. ad nauseum.
Every single time they have been wrong.
Every. Single. Time.
And now here they are again, wrong as can be. Now, I can't find (in approximately 30 seconds of half-hearted effort) when this Virginia law went into effect, but to be honest I expect it hasn't been long on the books at all, making it nigh impossible to determine what, if any, effect it has really had.
If one looks at the Virginia law in a vacuum, that is.
Back in the real world, this is merely the latest (or close to it) gun control debate where the gun rights activists won. It's also the latest (or close to it) where we see the predictions of anti-gunners fall flat on their faces, and prove to be completely unfounded. It's yet another piece of a recurring pattern that we see over and over again, and yet strangely it is largely ignored: The "predictions" of the gun control lobby never prove correct, no matter how often they're repeated.
In other words, these "predictions" are nothing more than fear-mongering.
Meanwhile, over in Britain, where owning a handgun for self defense is all but impossible (legally, anyway) thanks to anti-gunners, the widespread rioting recently has resulted in a 3000% increase in sales of aluminum bats.
Wait, wasn't taking away their guns supposed to make the Brits safer?
