Expect more people to die. The people who are going to take advantage of this â people in modern cities who want a lethal weapon â are exactly the people who shouldn't have them.
Whether it's technically correct or not, it's fairly stupid that local government isn't allowed to set appropriate rules for their own area in this part of law.
The thing I don't understand about this is why pro-gun people think that 'arms' means 'handguns', which weren't even invented when that amendment was written. As far as I'm aware no-one's pushing your constitutional rights to carry anti-tank mortars, explosives and other types of 'arms' which are restricted. That's not even going down the road of how different the US is now to when an armed populace was a good idea.
