Another thing I like about the older grills.

They came in different colors. Mine is a "burnt" orange color and the paint still looks fantastic. It was bought off an old 80 year old lady who just had it sitting for years and years. It's a lot heavier than the new ones but after scrubbing it, the grill bars shine like new. The paint is still glossy. In contrast, my neighbor has a Weber grill same style as mine he bought in 2005, and it's rusty as shit with lots of bits of paint flaking off. Also, the plastic handle at the top is brittle. The older ones had real wood. I found a site a few months back, of someone selling new WOOD handles for the weber grills. I'm thinking of replacing the 56 year old handle on mine even though it's still holding up, only because of looks really.
