So, let me start by saying...how the hell does a show like this survive when [private] can't even live a full season?!
That being said...
I don't dislike Lost. I really don't. I'm almost done with season 1--I've been watching it on Hulu while the hamthrax keeps me down.
There was a point, around the fifth or sixth episode, where the sole reason I kept watching was an absolute lack of ANYTHING else to watch.
And now, towards the end, I'm actually REALLY enjoying it, and I just committed myself to another 42 minutes in the computer chair for one more episode.
But if I had to wait a whole week in between these episodes, I would never have the patience, nor really the memory, to keep up.
The show is fascinating, but slow. I feel like I should be just now getting to the second or third episode, as far as the "learning things about the island" bit goes. Which would frustrate the shit out of me if we were talking about going MONTHS before learning the little bit of info I have so far. I would never have watched this on TV. I'm enjoying it on Hulu, chain-watching the episodes, but I never would have survived this build if the episodes were spaced out by a week. 0.o
