It debuts tonight. Anyone else excited about this? I've devoured every second of SG-1 and Atlantis, including both (so far) straight-to-DVD SG-1 movies. In fact, Stargate: Continuum was my first Blu-ray movie, and actually predates my purchase of a Blu-ray player!
Anyway, I don't actually know what this series is about. I've deliberately avoided scouring the internets for leaks, rumors, and what-have-you because I don't really want to know - I'll find out what it's about as the show reveals itself. Of course, I'm not completely ignorant - I know there's a ship that's falling apart, and something about a stargate that "must go somewhere" but we don't know where so we're sending people through it.
I traded in my old cable box for a DVR from my cable provider specifically to record this show. As a happy bonus, I also now have SyFy (gads how I hate that name!) in glorious HD, so not only will I get to see this new show on my own schedule (meaning I'll actually get to see it regularly), but I'll also be able to see it in glorious high definition!
Interestingly, my cable provider seems to broadcast the HD channels (or at least SyFy) in Eastern time, so while the show debuts in standard definition in 5.5 hours, my DVR will start recording the high definition version in a mere 1.5 hours.
