Just read about these interesting 'beans' that are going to be made by a new company. They're stainless steel beans with a 140-degree phase change material inside. This means they absorb heat down to 140, then release it slowly. So it cools down too-hot coffee/tea quickly, and keeps it at that temperature for a lot longer than normal. They only needed $9500 to get their first production run paid for, and they've already got over $250k in pledges.
Dunno if I'd pay the $50 retail price tag (actually I do know, I wouldn't pay that much) but it's a really cool concept. Link below.
