According to archaeologist [private] McGovern ...[the reason] humans turned from hunting and gathering to agriculture could be the result of our ancestors' simple urge for alcoholic beverages.
It's an interesting theory, and it comes from "one of the leading experts on the study of ancient alcoholic brews"! (He's actually a biomolecular archaeologist at the University of Pennsylvania Museum, but the article also uses that label too - I think it's awesome!)
