so, it seems they found a ancestor of humans that predates lucy by 1 million years, and its still much more hominid than ape-like. so, now theyre saying that they dont think the common ancestors of humans and monkeys was an ape, but something else even earlier.
or, you could say that there IS no common ancestor. i see that they shied away from that, though...
