This is brilliant. The bill would eliminate special funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, forcing the Pentagon to pay for them out of it's regular (huge, bloated) annual budget. The savings from doing this would be used to make the first $35,000 of every American's income tax-free.

I haven't verified the math on that (not even sure how I would), but for the time being I'll assume it's correct.
