That's $166 for every man, woman, and child on earth. It's about $8,000 per US taxpayer. This after we had gone into surpluses at the end of Clinton's term. =(
Our debt is so high, if every living person on earth sent a check for $1,000 to the US treasury, it still wouldn't be enough to erase it. Future generations are going to have to deal with this. And we, the American members of this site, happen to be among those "future generations". Something to think about when we go to cast our vote in November.
