Well, I was reading stuff on the Fourth Turning board, where I had posted about Angst: A Camera Into the Life of the Bittersweet Generation, before, when I saw someone mention my rock musical in a discussion of current music. The boy who was writing the post listed a number of present-day rock musicals, including mine, Spring Awakening and Green Day's American Idiot Musical. One he listed was Angst: The New Teen Musical.
I checked it out and there's another musical called Angst. Angst: The New Teen Musical was written by this boy named Eric Mayson and his drama classmates and has premiered oef-Broadway.
It tells the story of nine high school classmates and their English teacher, Mr. King, who have a class assignment to get to know a classmate better. Depite their cliqual differences, the kids learn they have more in common than they expected. Tom Olson, the most important teen character (played by Mayson) is a MySpace addict who friends all his classmates on MySpace.
Check out the opening number:
Since the title is already taken, I am going to change the title of Angst, and take the new title from the old title's subtitle. From now on, my musical will be known as . . .
