Posted by Bruised at 6:53pm Aug 19 '08The other day [private] and I were talking about how soundly we could sleep. Both of us admitted that we could sometimes hear things when we were sleeping. I told him that I once heard a whole Enya CD playing while I was sleeping.
Now, [private] didn't know who Enya was. He had never heard of her. So I told him she did "Orinoco Flow". A little Google search and [private] found a picture of Enya from the 1980's. "This girl?", he said.
"That's she!", I replied.
He found this link, and started to play the song "Orinoco Flow":
[private] had heard "Orinoco Flow" for the first time.
"It's not really my kind of music, but it's pretty good", he said.
"Remember", he said, "I'm a kid at heart."
I can vouch for that. [private] is afraid of the dark. He hates spinach and he loves Pokémon. He likes to watch Legends of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon. And for his and Charles' joint twenty-first birthday party, they didn't hit the bar, but went to . . . Chuck E. Cheese's!
