So, I watched Hard Candy for the first time today. OH MY GAWD. ...OH MY GAWD. ...OH MY GAWD!!!!
I fuckin love it. The concept, the 14 year old using herself as bait for pedophiles, so she can get justice against them...
The castration...mother of god, the castration! I mean, I know she faked it all, but it doesn't fucking matter, it was...WHAT THE HELL?!
And then that line, 'who do you wanna fuck first, me or the knife' when Jeff comes up onto the roof while Haley's waiting for him with the gun...apparently, that was improv. Man, that takes some TALENT to get so into character that you can come up with something that sick.
The whole movie is...INTENSE.
The actors truly make the movie. Ellen Page is FANTASTIC (and oh my gawd I want to murder myself for crushing on her in this movie where she plays a--convincing--way underage girl who gets violent revenge on pedophiles...), and the guy, whose name escapes me...wow.
I just...I've done some acting, but I know, I KNOW I could not handle this movie. I...this...wow. I can't believe 18-year-old Ellen was able to pull it off!!!
I fucking LOVE how after he jumps off the roof, she leaps to the edge and says "or not"...
Just...wow. The whole thing. I am SO in awe. It's...fantastic.
And the COLORS! I mean, I don't much pay attention to color in movies (huh, Pleasantville was largely in black and white, what? lol), but...incredible. Without being cheesy or in-your-face about it.

This movie. I'm enthralled. It's a fascinating study, really, and oh my gawd, that girl...that little fucking girl...
I wish I could say something more eloquent, but my mind is blown. I watched the movie this morning, watched the special features after, just watched the actor commentary, will be watching the director commentary this weekend...this movie...
*shudder* I can't believe this was made. I can't believe it. I can't believe it's only rated R. Things like this, are NOT meant for human minds.
And I mean that in a fucking FANTASTIC way...this was...incredible. But so...wrong. SO wrong.
