In my family, we have a tradition of watching certain movies every holiday season. It used to be that we watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer every year...but then the videotape died, and we haven't replaced it. Now we watch White Christmas and The Muppet Christmas Carol every year. If It's a Wonderful Life happens to be on TV when we're not busy, we'll watch that, but we don't have a decent copy of it ourselves. Oh, and when we're in a particularly irreverent mood, we watch The Ref.
There are some Christmas movies that I've never seen, though. Like The Christmas Story, which is apparently "right up my alley," according to some of my friends. ::shrugs:: I've also never seen Miracle on 34th Street. (That's what it's called, right?)
And then there are a couple of Christmas movies that I've never been able to finish. The two that I can think of off the top of my head are The Grinch remake and Elf. I just couldn't stand those two movies!
So, what holiday movies, if any, do you just have to watch every year? It doesn't have to be a Christmas movie, of course... That's just what my family does. Which ones have you never seen? Favorites? Ones you didn't like?
