Been thinking more about the ending.

It's been several days as well.

If anyone else watched or watches it, did you notice if they ever used krypyonite?

I don't think they did. They used red lights at one point. When they used bizarro, he sac himself and was killed to a mere nuke.

Basically I guess what I'm getting at is it does not tie directly to the superman we know.

Kryptonian superman would not be killed by a nuke, especially with no red sunlight and krypyonite involved.

So when they basically do the scene of kryptonian parents sending their son off, it is the same scene with the luthors, but different context.

Krypton so sent their son halfway around the universe.

Luthors sent their son to the same space, just thousand of years backward through time.

Also....the actual sacrifice is not as awesome either. Awesome is maybe the wrong word.

Krypton parents sent their son to earth. K. Father we can deduce being as smart in an advanced society and they certainly had the capability to sent their own people to the stars, might have deduced himself the yellow Suns rays on their biology.
A combination of arrogance and laziness leads to their race's ultimate destruction....well mostly anyway.

Whereas the red earth....at the end they list all the accomplishments particularly the first person to reach the afterlife....I assume without dying.
So with E. FAther he says point blank do they have nothing better to do then die.

So...well we have to go by faith....they don't. They don't directly say it, but they pretty much seem to be able to do anything.

It's like what Star Trek voyager tried to do with the Q, they been immortal so long, they have literally done it all.

So, and this is the part that clinches....if they can already go to the afterlife without dying, then they can probably just live in a nearby planet or space stations. Or wait it out in a nearby plane of existence.

It almost hollows his sacrifice, but where's the kryptonians had arrogance...earths seems to just be lazy...and hey time travel is a good quick fix to everything.

We don't actually see the planet blow up, so he still might be wrong and so doomed everyone to nonexistence....unless you go with time paradox where his ship will land in Russia again and start the who,enthing over again
