"Circle of the Lantern" is a novel published this year by James E. Hopkins. I know Jim online. He has a conlang named Itlani, with more than 10,000 words of lexicon created, and uses it in this novel, where Itlani is spoken on the planet Itlán.
From http://circleofthelantern.com/author.html :
James E. Hopkins is a healer, metaphysician, dancer, poet–author of Eden’s Day, storyteller, and constructed language (conlang) enthusiast. He holds a B.A. in French from Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY and a Masters of Science in Metaphysics from the American Institute of Holistic Theology, Birmingham, AL. . . . Jim loves reading and writing in English, Itlani, Esperanto and French. He enjoys history, philosophy, spirituality, metaphysics, scripts and languages, books, flags, and maps. He is a long time fan and student of the writings of Edgar Rice Burroughs, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and H.P. Lovecraft.
"Circle of the Lantern" relates a fantasy tale from this extraterrestrial planet, one of the myths of the people, so it's kind of a fantasy-within-a-science-fiction-world story -- almost a creation myth or cosmogonic myth. Fantasy's not my thing, but I thought we together could form a reading circle for Jim's book, with many of us buying it from Amazon, to help Jim out. Then we could discuss it at this board. It's available at Amazon through http://www.amazon.com/Circle-Lantern-Annotated-Translation-Classic/dp/1477277420
