Posted by Kromey at 6:33pm Jun 18 '12Nearing the 48-hour mark, there's some ringing (although it goes away with an ear plug) but I'd say my hearing is back to 80-90% -- still some of the "underwater" feeling to sounds, though. Certain sounds seem to reverberate uncomfortably with the tinnitus, and loud noises are still more painful than normal, but I'm doing well not wearing the ear plug this afternoon (except for the sounds of construction outside my apartment during my lunch break...).
Still hoping for a complete recovery, we'll see how the next 24-ish hours go (and see if I can remain ear plug-free for most of that time)...
