SCOTUS reigns in Obama

Supreme Court Strikes Down Obama's Unconstitutional Executive Overreach 9-0

It's not often that the SCOTUS issues a unanimous ruling on, well, anything. Then again, in this case the law -- and the Constitution -- are absolutely clear on this topic.

The irony shouldn't be lost on the White House, either. It's quite clear that they knew exactly what they were doing when they broke the law in the first place -- the Democrats invented the tactic the Republicans were using to prevent "recess appointments": If the Senate's in session, even pro forma session, the President can't put anybody into place without the Senate's approval. The Democrats used it to effectively prohibit Bush from having the opportunity to enact recess appointments; now they have to swallow their own pill.

I'll bet it tastes sour.
