In the face of my own experiences with suicide, I've often stated that you have to be some kind of insane to decide to take your own life. That it's a special mental state, not unlike other forms of delusion.
I'm not making a judgment on Somers' sanity simply through this writing nor am I really reversing my opinion on that... but damn... I certainly believe every single word he's written to be accurate and fair - and that - is a problem indeed.
