why is that bad? i think it's fantastic. we both know he didn't really want the issue to come to a head during an election, but biden is biden. but i think it's a great thing to come down on the right side of a huge civil rights battle even in spite of running for office (you'll notice that of all the top GOP people to sign that brief for the supreme court, none of them are seriously considering running for nationwide office anymore).
