I actually found out when we were looking for a place to hold our Brownie meetings and my other leader said: "Years ago we used to meet at the salvation army, but they won't rent to Girl Guides of Canada anymore because we allow lesbian leaders". I looked into it and couldn't find anything about that specifically, but found it very believable based on their other practices. So I cancelled my donation with an email about why I was cancelling it, and found a local charity to support instead. Until I moved though I still got letters from the Salvation Army asking me to donate, even though I made it clear that I no longer supported them and why.
