The first one I was aware of turns out to have gotten to just 3 blocks away from my apartment. Heavily populated area, though, so they were on it right quick and got it under control and out very quickly. Helicopters and everything!
The other fire is further away, but is a lot bigger, and has apparently already claimed a lot more houses. They have every single fire fighting asset in the area on that one, trying to keep it under control and limit the damage it does.
