Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1853-1930), who wrote the Sherlock Holmes stories, was born today in 1853. Google has marked the man's 153rd birthday by doing an ACD Google screen: the o is modified into Sherlock Holmes' magnifying glass, the g into his head with his pipe, and the l into a lamppost in the background. Very clever!
In addition to writing all the Sherlock Holmes stories (in which the man not once says "Elementary, my dear Watson"), Doyle also created the Hound of the Baskervilles. He was not without his taste for the paranormal and curious: when shown the photographs some girls had taken of fairies in the forest, the famous "Cottingley Fairies", Doyle said that the photographs may be evidence of the existence of these winged beings.
Let's celebrate the birthday of the creator of this literary detective by working on the detectivework scene in Inner Bruise -- the one with Steve and Peter on the bridge to catch the AALL card thieves. You can write the next segment of Inner Bruise under the Community board.
