I've seen this recipe floating around all over the place lately, sometimes called "Crackpot chicken", and I decided to try it one night. (I think the title is supposed to convey "crockpot" + addictive). It's unbelievably easy and very yummy too--and when I say easy, I mean my husband can cook it successfully, which really says something. It tasted a bit similar to barbecue chicken, except had a little extra something, and a slight sweet and sour kind of flavor.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (can toss them in frozen if you want, and can use up to 6 if they're smaller)
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 (8 oz) bottle Catalina dressing
1 pouch Onion soup mix
In the crockpot, put in the chicken, then mix dressing, soup mix, and sauce together and pour on top. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 4. Can also cook for 40 minutes at 350 in the oven instead (for 4 breasts, a bit longer for more).
