As [private] says we've discussed it before, but briefly, I think it had potential to tap into quite a deep well of disaffection with the excesses of unrestricted capitalism (there are a lot of people annoyed with 'the bankers'), but they have completely failed to develop that into any sort of coherent political message.
Like any protest movement they cause normal people significant inconvenience, and to be successful they need to more than compensate for that by providing a political movement that people want to be part of. Considering that there isn't a decent left-of-centre mainstream party in the US at all, and none in the UK that hasn't sold out to big business, that should be easy to do. So the fact that they haven't managed that at all means that, to me, they're a complete failure.
