I think there's sex everywhere in America because people are so uptight about sex. The fact that sex is taboo makes people obsess over it and that spills out into all these images. And the predominance of the images just makes people even more uptight about it. In a culture that was really relaxed about sex, sex just wouldn't be a big deal.
As for the rest of it... I agree. Fame and wealth are not good for children... and the whole fucked up entertainment industry is a really, really bad environment for children.
