So, I just bought a new laptop (see: New Laptop, yeaaah :D) but it had a stuck red pixel. I was planning on exchanging it but was lazy about it. I also thought it might go away by itself but it didn't. So after a quick search on Google I found this WikiHow article:
http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-Pixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor
I did the "tap with a Sharpie" method, just because I happened to have one on my desk right next to my computer, and it fucking worked!! I really couldn't believe it. Amazing. And now, I don't have to worry about exchanging my laptop. The irony is, that one of my initial thoughts was to use a very fine point Sharpie to put a black dot over the red pixel, if i couldn't get it exchanged/repaired, so it wouldn't annoy me as much, lol.
It's times like this, that I really feel the internet is fucking awesome :D
