Java Frameworks

I've been trying to refresh my java skills lately. It seems Spring + Hibernate is the most popular combination of framework + ORM tool. Is that accurate? I've never worked with these before, so I'm trying to learn. Anyone else use these, or other java framework options?

Also, for the front-end, what would you recommend? I'm currently looking into Spring MVC. Struts 2 looks pretty good as well.
