I desperately need one of y'all to help me out with this.
I've got cable internet with a netgear wireless router. Set that up back in May, working beautifully since then-- up until 2 weeks ago.
It started gradually dropping out, signal strength in all, about once a day.
Now, the signal strength is fine but I cannot connect to the internet. Neither can my roommate.
The computer hooked straight into the router via ethernet is working just dandy.
I've tried setting up the router again, no problem. I've hooked a computer straight up to the cable modem, and again, no problem.
What in the name of all that is holy do I do to fix this problem? I've got three bitchy roommates who all need the wireless to work for homework and relationships (my fiance is in France, Sam's husband is in Iraq, Jamie's fiance is across the state).
And netgear wants to charge me for tech support, which I'd like to avoid if possible. I'm a poor college student and christmas is coming up.
